Who Can Be So Cruel As To
Have Abandoned These Dogs?

For all appearances, it does appear these dogs were
dropped off and left behind. I can say this because
flyers were posted all over the neighborhood and
there's been extensive online coverage.

Can you imagine the FEAR they felt when they saw their
deplorable owners drive away leaving them behind? My
blood is boiling at the thought of how a human being
could do such a horrific thing. It's abuse in the worst way.

Dogs have feelings and they are our companions - our best
friends. They totally depend on humans to care for
them. No one HAS to own a dog - it's a choice.

In case you can't tell, I AM a dog lover.

OK ... let's move on with this story.
The who, what, when and where! But first,
watch these two short video's. The little girls
are so gentle with the dogs and the dogs are
equally gentle but especially appreciative!

and smart these dogs are!

The Story

Who, what, when and where ...

While the dogs have been obviously abondoned,
the great news is in WHO found them and
from this standpoint, they are extremely lucky.

The person who found them is someone
we all know - some of you know him
personally while others only know of him.

I named him a "HERO" in 2014 because
he was the first lawyer who contacted
the TLC regarding the Fun 5's Scratch Ticket.
He let them know in no uncertain terms that
they were violating the Deceptive Trade Act.

I posted his letter on Sept 18, 2014
and it resulted in over 1000 players
contacting him for help to collect
their prizes. After 10 years and
2 days, IGT/G-Tech finally settled
this case and players were
compensated.

Few people actually know this man
on a personal level. By that I mean, what
you don't know is that he is a true
Humanitarian - not only is he a dog lover
too but he and his wife own Therapy Dogs
and these dogs are certified "personnel" at
the hospitals in Houston. They take
their dogs to visit seriously ill children.

It's not everyday that you meet and
know people who give more to society
than they get in return!

The "man" I'm referring to is
Manfred Sternberg. And
he is the person who saw and
rescued these two beautiful dogs
before they got run over or picked
up by the Pound and euthanized.
He's had them for nearly two
weeks now.

Now the problem is, while Manfred
is providing shelter, food, vet care
and love to both dogs, he cannot
keep them because he has Therapy
dogs. It's too much for he and his wife.

I would take the dogs in a heartbeat
but I can't either. I have a very ill
Rat Terrier and a beautiful,
healthy 90 lb Great Pyrenees!

So, the bottom line is, we need to
find a LOVING home. No one has
to take both dogs but I honestly
believe it would be best if they
could stay together. They've
been vacinated, walk well on
leashes and one is est to be 5
years old and the other one
is roughly 2 years old.

Also, this is OUR chance to
help Manfred for all that he's
done fighting for the rights of
TX lottery players. Help me
spread the word so we can
find a PERFECT home for
these two loving dogs.

A "Forever" Home Has Been Found!

I'm elated to report that Tex and Dolly (their new names)
have a family, love, food and a new home in Pearland. They
have
acreage to run on and two new 4 legged "brothers"
to play with!

Their first night in their new home they spent on the
couch
watching movies with their new Mom and their
new
Aunt and Uncle. It was 3 humans and 5 dogs all
total.
Mom even slept on the couch with them the
first night.
(How very sweet)

The next day they played outside with their new brothers
and they followed their new Mom everywhere she went.
I also heard that Mom has a garden and Dolly really liked it.

I am thrilled that Manfred found such a
beautiful and perfect place for them.

Kudo's to Manfred and his wife for saving them.
