The TLC had to pay the winner "at least"
the amount in the prize pool but this is what they
were trying to change with the recent rule change.
They wanted to re-write the rule to pay
"only" the amount they advertised which would have
meant this winner would have only received the
investment cost shown above.


Nov. 28, 2001 holds the lowest sales record in the history of Lotto Texas.
Notice too, sales on 12/12 with a $16 million pot were less than sales
on 12/8/01 with a $14 million pot. And sales on 12-22-01 ($30 million)
were higher than sales on 12-26-01 when there was $36 million jackpot.
